The Empty Mind

Each moment of not wanting
Is a moment of freedom
The mind no longer preoccupied by any thought
         or emotion
Absent are the distractions, fears,
         and worries
Of mortal man
Who sees only what is in front of his face
Not yet knowing
It is the Absolute that does all
For only the Absolute Is
Desire can only come from a personal identity
That wants something from a world
        that is not real
The One that ‘finds’ the world
Knows that the world is a desert
A void where appearance
        comes and goes
Yet the empty mind is One with All That Is
Fully present and aware
       without philosophies
For no one doctrine reveals the essence of existence
That goes beyond the understanding
        of the worldly mind
